Grey iron

From customer drawing to packed pallet. Everything except a few special processes happens under our own roof.
CAD and CAE review of the drawing — shrinkage allowance, gating and feeding, machining stock — with 3D scanning used to verify the tool and the first casting.
EPS beads are pre-expanded, aged and steam-moulded in aluminium tooling, then cooled and stripped. Multi-cavity tooling is used for high-volume parts.
Patterns are trimmed, glued into assemblies, gauged and stored to a controlled drying schedule before coating.
Patterns are dipped in refractory slurry — mixed in a large stirred tank — then dried in a controlled room. Coating thickness decides surface finish and burn-on.
Lost-foam moulding in dry sand with vacuum assistance; induction furnace melting with spectrometer checks on chemistry before the pour, and pouring temperature logged per heat.
Knock-out, shot blasting, riser removal and grinding; normalising, annealing or quenching and tempering where the drawing calls for it.
CNC machining centres and boring mills rough and finish faces, bores and bolt patterns to the drawing; critical features are re-checked after machining and a dimensional report is issued with each batch.
Primer and top coat on a hanging conveyor line with a sealed spray booth and off-gas treatment, then final inspection and export packing.
Capacity figures below are the plant's own; group figures are labelled as such. Equipment lists are indicative and can be confirmed against the on-site register during an audit.
